The Virtual Community Salon is a free entirely online community-gathering space hosted by Contemporaneous, where anyone can come to share artistic work in all stages of development, along with ideas, dreams, and conversation. You can present artistic work or just come to listen!
The Virtual Community Salon is always free and open to anyone. We want to provide a space where artists working in our community — and those of us who just love art or good conversation! — can come together to meet, speak, and share what they're interested in and working on.
If you're an artist, come to the salon and share your music, your poetry, your paintings, or just your dreams. You can share work at any stage of development, and you can share as much or as little as you want. You can open your work up to questions or not — however you want to present whatever you want to present, that's what the salon is for.
If you're not an artist, come to meet other people, hear and see what work is being created all around us, and for a night of conversation, snacks, and creative openness.
We can't wait to share this evening of dreams with you.
This virtual salon is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and by public funds from The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and support from the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, New Music USA, Pacific Harmony Foundation, and the Peter S. Reed Foundation.
