Contemporaneous plays on the Bang on a Can Marathon

Join us for an afternoon of incredible music at the 2018 Bang on a Can marathon. This incomparable super-mix of boundary-busting music from around the corner and around the world features ten hours of performances by some of the most innovative musicians of our time. Contemporaneous will perform side-by-side with the Bang on a Can All Stars, with thrilling new music from Jeffrey Brooks, Fjóla Evans, and Dylan Mattingly.

Approximate times for Contemporaneous's performances:

~ 1:30 pm — Dylan Mattingly: Stranger Love: Act I, Scene 13, "Jubilee"

~ 2:30 pm — Fjóla Evans: Eroding

~ 3:50 pm —  Jeffrey Brooks: After The Treewatcher, Capriccio (with the Bang on a Can All-Stars)

~ 5:30 pm — Jeffrey Brooks: The Passion (with the Bang on a Can All-Stars)

(This is a FREE event. Tickets can be picked up at the NYU Box Office (566 LaGuardia Pl) starting at 10:00 a.m. on May 13th (2 hours prior to event). Tickets will be distributed on first-come, first-served basis until we reach capacity. Once the venue has reached capacity, there will be a standby line as seats become available throughout the duration of the event. Limit 1 ticket per person.)
