For Voices Up!, Contemporaneous partners with Poets Out Loud, a community of poetry at Fordham University at Lincoln Center, for an exciting collaboration!
Poets Out Loud awards two major poetry prizes annually to up and coming poets, who are published on the Fordham University Press. This year, Contemporaneous commissioned composers Ryan Chase and John Boggs to set poetry of prize-winners Amy Sara Carroll and Nicholas Hundley and will premiere those new works on this program!
This evening of new music for new poetry will also feature a world premiere of Fordham professor Lawrence Kramer and really fun works by Lisa Bielawa and Ryan Brown.
